Alia Bhatt’s highly anticipated film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, which was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has finally locked a release date. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial is all set to hit the big screens on February 25.
The official handle of Bhansali productions shared an update on Twitter. The post was captioned as, “Witness her reign in cinemas near you on 25th February 2022.”
The film was supposed to release on January 6, 2022, but later the makers announced that it will release on 18 February 2022. However, no they again changed the date. The film also stars Seema Pahwa and has cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Huma Qureshi.
Jointly backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr. Jayantilal Gada, the biographical crime drama film is set in the 1960s, and it revolves around the life of Gangubai, the most powerful woman from Kamathipura.
