AR Murugadoss’ 2005 film Ghajini left an indelible mark on Tamil cinema, garnering immense success with its gripping storyline and powerful performances. The Hindi remake, starring Aamir Khan, also achieved significant box office success. Recently, during an interview for his upcoming film Kanguva, Suriya hinted at the possibility of a sequel, Ghajini 2.
Suriya revealed that discussions with AR Murugadoss are underway for a bilingual Ghajini 2 in Tamil and Hindi. He will reprise his lead role in the Tamil version, while Aamir Khan is expected to take the lead in the Hindi remake. The prospect of both actors making cameo appearances in each other’s films has generated considerable excitement among fans.
While AR Murugadoss is currently working on other projects, including a film with Sivakarthikeyan and his Bollywood comeback Sikander starring Salman Khan, he remains committed to developing Ghajini 2. An official announcement regarding the sequel is anticipated soon, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details about the film and its potential plot changes.
In addition to Ghajini 2, Suriya is currently working on Kanguva. He has also recently completed filming for a project tentatively titled Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. This film, featuring Pooja Hegde in her debut alongside Suriya, combines elements of romance and action. The cast also includes renowned actors like Jayaram, Joju George, Nassar, Prakash Raj, and Sujith Shankar.
Suriya’s next project, tentatively titled Suriya 45, will be directed by RJ Balaji and is rumored to be a divine fantasy film with music by AR Rahman. This ambitious project adds to Suriya’s diverse filmography and further showcases his versatility as an actor.
