Global star Ram Charan has joined hands with director Buchi Babu Sana for his 16th film, a grand Pan-India venture. The recently unveiled pre-look poster has already generated significant buzz among fans and cinephiles alike.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, and bankrolled by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, the film promises to be a large-scale cinematic spectacle.
In celebration of Ram Charan’s birthday, the makers revealed the film’s title as PEDDI. The title hints at the powerful and authoritative essence of Charan’s character in the film. The actor has undergone a dramatic transformation for the role, adopting a rugged, rooted persona—complete with a nose ring and cigar—showcasing a wild and untamed side of the character.
With intense eyes, ruffled hair, and a thick beard, Charan embodies raw power in its most unfiltered form. A second poster adds to the intrigue, featuring him wielding an old cricket bat with a rustic village stadium in the backdrop, floodlights blazing—evoking a stronger, grittier visual than even his look in Rangasthalam.
The film features Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, while Kannada icon Shiva Rajkumar plays a significant supporting role. The ensemble cast also includes industry veterans Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma in crucial roles.
Adding to the film’s grandeur is the musical genius of Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman. Cinematography is helmed by R. Rathnavelu ISC, with editing and production design entrusted to National Award winners Navin Nooli and Avinash Kolla, respectively.
The powerful first-look visuals have only heightened the excitement surrounding the project, setting the stage for what is expected to be a remarkable and unforgettable cinematic experience.
