Google has rolled out a significant price cut on its premium AI and cloud storage subscriptions, offering a 50% discount on annual plans for a limited time. The move appears aimed at accelerating user adoption as competition in the generative AI space intensifies.
The headline offer applies to the Google AI Pro annual plan, which is now available at half its usual price for first-time subscribers. Designed for power users, the plan provides access to advanced tools including the Gemini 3 Pro model, the Nano Banana Pro suite, Deep Research features, and the Veo 3.1 Fast video generation tool.
In addition to AI capabilities, subscribers receive 2TB of cloud storage, shared across Google Drive, Photos, and Gmail. The plan also integrates Gemini AI directly into Google Workspace apps, enabling AI-assisted drafting of emails, documents, and other content.
The promotion is restricted to new users who have not previously subscribed to Google AI Pro or premium Google One plans. It is currently scheduled to end on 15 January 2026. After the discounted 12-month period, the subscription will auto-renew at the full standard price, unless users manually disable renewal.
Alongside AI-focused discounts, Google is also offering 50% price reductions on standard Google One storage plans in select regions. The 100GB Basic plan and 2TB Premium storage plan are both available at half their usual annual cost, catering to users who need additional storage without advanced AI features.
At present, the discount is limited to select markets such as the United States and has not yet been extended to India. Indian users are advised to keep an eye on the Google One app, as Google often introduces regional offers around the New Year or during major shopping seasons.
