Ground Report: Naidu was silent then, violent now

Strange are the ways of Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu. A shrewd and Machiavellian politician with four decades of public life, Chandrababu Naidu is known for making his moves to benefit his career first and the party next.

He is now busy beating the drums for late Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. He is living the whole week from Monday, on the dead body of Kodela, as he stretches his political activity even after the cremation of the late leader.

Chandrababu Naidu and his party leaders have met AP Governor and submitted a representation seeking action against the YSR Congress government for subjecting Kodela to humiliation on false cases.

He also sought CBI enquiry into the causes of the death of Kodela.

Later, before offering a lavish and delicious lunch for the media persons in a 5-star hotel, Chandrababu Naidu justified Kodeal’s action in taking Assembly furniture to his camp office.

He also made similar allegations against the YS family for misusing the government and public properties.

But the big question is why was Naidu silent on those days when Kodela was being nailed for taking the Assembly furniture?

Why did he not allow even his party leaders to speak for Kodela? Why did he or his party leaders not visited Kodela even when the leader was in the hospital?

Where were these statements of the justification of the Assembly furniture having in the camp office of the Speaker?

Naidu and his party leaders were silent when Kodela was fighting the battle against furniture allegations and was being humiliated in the social media. He had no support then.

However, after the death, Kodela found several supporters for his actions, including Chandrababu Naidu.

The TDP chief is now going violent against the ruling party in support of Kodela.

He is taking the issue even to the Raj Bhavan for political battle, while the family members are busy taking the ashes to the rivers for immersion.

This is what is called Naidu style of politics.
