Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital in Rajkot’s city in Gujarat on Thursday.
Given the prevailing Coronavirus situations, Narendra Modi took part in the foundation laying ceremony through video conference and addressed the event after the ceremony.
Addressing the event, the Prime Minister said, the new hospital will play a crucial role in improving the healthcare facilities in the state.
Adding further, Modi said, the country transpired into a nerve centre of global health. India’s role in health care should be strengthened. The quality and quantity of health education will be improved after the National Medical Commission gets formed.
When someone’s health condition is hit, every aspect of life gets affected. On the last day of the year, let us remember the millions of doctors, health warriors, sanitation workers, and front line Corona workers who served the nation.
Taking about his home state Gujarat, Narendra Modi said, over the past two decades the medical infrastructure has been developed. This played a key role in Gujarat dealing with the Covid-19 effectively.
