GVL Raises Key Questions On Nimmagadda’s Letter

BJP Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao had raised several key questions relating to a letter allegedly written by State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, which also he denied in the media.

He said that if the letter was written by the SEC and if the allegations of violence and irregularities are to be believed, the letter exposes the failure of the SEC in ensuring free and fair election in the State.

He said that the SEC, while admitting the violence and irregularities and accepting his failure, should step down from the office.

The BJP MP further said that if the SEC could not provide conducive atmosphere in the State during the election time when the administration is put under his control, the SEC cannot shift the blame on the administration.

If the letter is fake since the SEC had denied it in the media, the BJP MP wanted to know why the SEC is silent on lodging a complaint with the police for misuse of the SEC and his signature.

He said that the letter contained the official letterhead and signature and wanted to know why the SEC did not act on it or did not complain to the police.

Well, the SEC had no answers for these questions. Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar neither owns up the letter or disowns.

But surprisingly, the opposition is attributing it to the SEC, the BJP MP said and wanted to know who is behind the letter.

“Is the SEC responsible for the letter or the opposition party. We can’t have anonymous letter like this involving the highest office of the constitution in the state. The SEC should sit down and find out who is that ‘Aakasa Ramanna or Aakasa Chandranna’ who is responsible or who is behind this criminal act,” GVL Narasimha Rao asserted.

It is time for the SEC and the State police to investigate and name the unnamed and shadowy owner of the letter.
