Senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao on Friday accused the Telangana state Cabinet of descending into chaos, alleging that it is now split into two rival camps engaging in constant conflict. Speaking at a press conference, Harish Rao claimed the Cabinet had become a “group of dacoits intent on looting,” with members focused on commissions, land grabs, and pushing their allies into key government positions rather than governance. He likened the ministers to the Dandupalyam gang, referencing the infamous characters from the popular movie series.
Harish Rao highlighted severe infighting within the Cabinet, which he said has stalled state development. He cited allegations from a minister’s daughter, claiming that guns were being used to extort money from industrialists, and further alleging that the Chief Minister, while in Japan, blocked the movement of an official file. Another minister, she claimed, had ordered that tenders be denied to anyone associated with her mother.
Harish Rao urged the BJP-led central government to take note of these serious allegations and initiate an independent judicial probe into the Telangana Cabinet. He warned that if the BJP fails to act, it would suggest that the BJP and Congress are colluding in the looting, he added.
