Director Harish Shankar is leaving no stone unturned to create a buzz around his upcoming film ‘Mr Bachchan’ starring mass hero Ravi Teja. Set to hit the screens on August 15th, the film is riding high on expectations. In a recent interview, Shankar revealed that while the film is indeed a remake of the Bollywood movie ‘Raid’, it’s essentially a new story altogether.
“We’ve made 70% changes to the original script. The focus is primarily on the love story. We’re confident that audiences will be transported to a whole new world,” Shankar said. He also praised Ravi Teja’s energetic performance and hinted at catchy songs and memorable dialogues.
The director also addressed the trolling he faced during the pre-production stages of his previous film, ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ starring Pawan Kalyan. “There was an unprecedented level of trolling against me with 2.68 lakh negative tweets urging me to drop the remake. However, I stayed strong and continued with the film.
After the teaser release, many of those who trolled me apologized,” Shankar shared. He also confirmed that he recently met with Pawan Kalyan and is gearing up to resume shooting for ‘Ustad Bhagat Singh’ soon.
