Harshavardhan, celebrated for his impactful scores in Arjun Reddy and Animal, is now set to collaborate with top directors Trivikram Srinivas and Puri Jagannadh. He is composing for Puri’s upcoming film Puri Sethupathi (tentatively titled Slumdog), starring Vijay Sethupathi, Samyuktha Menon, Tabu, and Duniya Vijay. Simultaneously, he is scoring music for Trivikram’s family entertainer featuring Venkatesh and Srinidhi Shetty, aiming for a 2026 release.
Industry insiders suggest two possible reasons for this sudden rise. While top composers like Thaman and Anirudh often demand complete audio rights instead of upfront remuneration, not all producers are comfortable with this arrangement. Another perspective points to time constraints — with Thaman and Anirudh juggling multiple projects, filmmakers are seeking a dedicated composer who can commit fully to their films, paving the way for Harshavardhan’s entry.
Whatever the reason, Harshavardhan Rameshwar’s association with these high-profile projects positions him as a strong contender among Telugu cinema’s leading music directors, potentially challenging the current top names in the industry.
