Telangana speaker, chairman of Telangana legislative council got rude shock from the Hyderabad High Court when it served notices directing them to respond to the charges on inaction over turncoat MLAs. Congress and TDP, main opposition parties in Telangana charged the speaker and chairman of inaction over disqualification of MLAs who crossed to ruling TRS and even became Ministers.
TDP even decided to obstruct the proceedings in the current Budget session, stalling Governor Narasimhan’s address. Both Congress and TDP earlier requested speaker and chairman to disqualify their MLAs who switched sides by joining TRS.

Three TDP MLAs and 5 MLCs from Congress quit the parties and joined TRS. Advocates argued “Though we urged the speaker and the council chairman to disqualify the defectors, they are not even taking up the matter for hearing,“ Single judge earlier dismissed the pleas but TDP and Congress approached the court once again.
Court also issued notices to Five Congress MLCs KR Amos, V Bhupal Reddy , N Rajalingam, T Bhanu Prasad Rao and S Jagadeeswar Reddy and three TDP legislators Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Ch Dharma Reddy along with peaker S Madhusudhanachary and council chairman K Swamy Goud.
