Following the petition filed by the police officer’s welfare association, the High Court has ordered a stay on senior hero Srikanth’s soon to be release film, Mental Police. In its petition, the police officer’s association alleged that the film’s unit has secretly hurt their sentiments with a derogatory title.
Earlier, the association had served legal notices to the film’s hero Srikanth, director Karanam Babji and the producers Prasad Dasari and Durga Prasad, demanding a change in the film’s title. However, the film’s unit didn’t budge on their title, pushing the police to move the court.
Hero Srikanth had earlier offered a free screening of Mental Police to the protesting policemen and their families and said that his film doesn’t degrade police department and that he will make necessary corrections if the cops have any issues even after watching the film.
