Here are AP Government’s double standards on COVID-19..?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh government has been resolved to open the educational institutions from November 2nd in phases and this move is very confusing for the common people. Already 3,000 cases are being registered in the state on average and there are reports that the possibility of a second wave of COVID-19 emergence in India.

It is known that the AP Government has decided to open all schools and colleges from November 2. Primary schools will start from December 14. In higher education, only about one-third of the total strength of the classroom per day is required to attend. For classes 9 and 10, the government has directed that along with the students studying in the first and second year of Intermediate, they should attend half a day, every alternative day.

From November 23, students in grades 6, 7 and 8 will have to attend half day schools. The interesting angle here is, the Government hasn’t released any statement regarding this decision which suggests that it is safe to send children to schools and they gave an option to parents that they could continue with Online classes if they are not willing their children to be exposed to the risk.

On the other side, the teachers need to attend the classes regularly and no private institution might allow their teachers to work half day or on alternative days. Amid all these problems, AP government decided to open schools indicating the situation is safe but are opposing the local body polls commencement in every possible way and citing the COVID effect as the prime reason.

When Jagan feels the people are at risk with COVID-19 transmission for the local body polls, in which the 18+ aged people participate, there is no point in opening the schools for Children who are at high risk. No one understands the AP government’s logic behind this and all we have to do is to play the waiting game and assess how the situation pans out eventually.
