Some survival stories seem straight out of a movie, and actress Mumait Khan’s real-life ordeal is one of them. Known for her electrifying dance numbers, Mumait has been away from the film industry, focusing on her new venture, Welyke Academy, a beauty training institute. However, while advancing her business, she made a shocking revelation—she was in a coma for 15 days following a freak accident at home.

Recalling the terrifying incident, Mumait shared, “I was moving around at home when my leg slipped, and I hit my head on the bed. There was no external bleeding, but I sensed something was seriously wrong. My mother rushed me to the hospital, where doctors discovered that three nerves had been severely damaged. I had to undergo surgery at Bombay Hospital, after which I slipped into a coma for 15 days.”

The aftermath of the accident was equally challenging, as Mumait suffered from memory loss and still struggles to recall certain parts of her past. While the physical recovery has been slow, the emotional toll has been even more daunting. “It’s frustrating not being able to remember parts of my life, but I have learned to move forward,” she admitted.

Despite these hardships, Mumait remains focused on her well-being and her new career path. She is determined to make her second innings in life as impactful as her first in cinema. Her last appearance was in Disney+ Hotstar’s Jhansi, but whether she will return to the entertainment industry remains uncertain. For now, she is embracing a fresh chapter, proving that resilience and strength can pave the way for new beginnings.
