When Nani’s action thriller HIT: The Third Case released on May 1 this year, the team expected a normal opening day. Instead, they were met with a shock—the entire film had already leaked online. The production house initially suspected an internal betrayal and spent weeks quietly investigating to figure out how the movie had been uploaded before its theatrical release.
The mystery unraveled after iBomma’s Immadi Ravi was arrested. During the investigation, he admitted that the leak did not come from any employee. Hyderabad Police later confirmed that HIT 3 was uploaded nearly 18 hours before its official release, not as a blurry, shaky copy, but as the original-quality version straight from hacked servers. No wonder the team had no clue how it happened.
Police have now confirmed the full method: Ravi hacked the servers directly and uploaded the movie online. Despite the chaos, the film managed to hold its ground at the box office, collecting around Rs 120 crores worldwide—a remarkable feat given the leak situation.
Currently, Nani is not dwelling on the past. He is busy with two upcoming projects: The Paradise with Srikanth Odela, slated for a March 2026 release, and another untitled film titled Nani x Sujeeth.
