Chinese tech giant Huawei is reportedly planning a return to the Indian market, with a teaser spotted on Flipkart hinting at an upcoming launch. The teaser, featuring the tagline “Handy All-rounder” and the message “Coming Soon only on Flipkart,” appears to suggest the launch of the Huawei MatePad 11.5, a tablet already available in global markets.
X (formerly Twitter) users noticed the teaser image, which shows a silhouette resembling a tablet. While neither Flipkart nor Huawei has officially confirmed the launch, Flipkart has also created a dedicated Huawei brand page that reads, “Thank you for visiting this page, launching soon!” This indicates that an official announcement regarding Huawei’s comeback in India could be imminent.
Huawei has not had official sales in India since 2020, following a slowdown in its smartphone business due to global restrictions and sanctions. However, the brand still maintained some presence in the country. Launching a tablet first is seen as a low-risk strategy to gauge market demand before expanding its product lineup in India.
