After looking at films like Magadheera, Baahubali and recent Sye Raa, it looks like even Pawan Kalyan got bitten by the idea of starring in a vintage drama. As he is waiting to do that from time, director Krish has come up with a story that has all the elements like that of a Gauthamiputra Satakarni, though the costume drama will be set in late 1800s time period.
Recently Krish wrapped the first schedule of this movie, tentatively titled Viroopaksha, at a special boat set built at Aluminium Factory premises. Now, they are said to be constructing another major such ship set, where an action sequence will be filmed. Inspired by ‘300’ movie Part 2’s ship fights, Krish carved similar scenes for Balayya’s Satakarni movie too. And these scenes need huge visual effects grandeur in order to make them look real.
Reports are coming that almost 60% of the movie will have this VFX backing in order to bring Pawan Kalyan’s dream of starring in a vintage drama alive on the silver screen. However, many wonder if Krish would be able to complete the movie in the planned budget such that there will be no major loss for AM Ratnam, as he is doing this film to save himself from debts.
