Hyderabad Man Kills Wife, Cooks Body to Destroy Evidence

In a horrifying incident, a man from Hyderabad allegedly killed his wife and attempted to destroy evidence by dismembering her body and cooking the remains in a pressure cooker.

The victim, 35-year-old Madhavi, was reported missing after her mother filed a complaint with the police. Madhavi had been married for 13 years to Gurumurthy, a former army employee who currently works as a security guard.

During questioning, Gurumurthy confessed to killing his wife and revealed that he disposed of her body parts in multiple locations, including the nearby Jillellaguda lake. Investigators uncovered gruesome details, including the fact that Gurumurthy dismembered her body, boiled the remains in water using an electric immersion heater, and later used a pressure cooker to further destroy evidence.

According to the investigation, the incident began with an argument during which Madhavi reportedly removed her mangalasutra and threw it at Gurumurthy. Enraged, Gurumurthy allegedly pushed her against a wall, causing fatal injuries. To cover up the crime, he used knives to chop the body into small parts, which he then disposed of in drainage systems and the lake.

The police suspect the frequent arguments between the couple stemmed from Gurumurthy’s alleged extramarital affair.

Madhavi’s mother had earlier reported an argument between the couple on January 16, after which Madhavi left home. While investigating the missing person’s case, police uncovered the spine-chilling details of her murder.

Although Gurumurthy has confessed to the crime, police have yet to find forensic evidence to support his claims. The couple had been married for over a decade and had two children together
