Addressing a press conference at the BJP party office ahead of the GHMC elections, Dubbak MLA M. Raghunandan Rao made distasteful comments on the tragic death of YSR on Sunday.His sensational comments on the death of the former Chief Minister of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh made many heads turn. Even the political observers found fault with the MLA’s comments.
In the press conference, referring to the helicopter crash of YSR, Raghunandan Rao said: Earlier, a person who spoke against BJP similarly died in Pavuralagutta. KTR will also meet a similar fate.
With the controversy getting bigger and bigger, Raghunandan Rao stepped in to clarify his comments on YSR’s death. He said he has never insulted the leader and his comments are taken out of context.
“I request all YSR fans. I made these comments to remind everyone about Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s comments on YS Rajasekhar Reddy. I have never spoken in a bad way on YSR,” the MLA said in a video.
Raghunandan Rao’s new controversy is a classic example of how politicians make outrageous remarks on other leaders and later regret. One common excuse they made is their intentions are different.
Let us hope that with this incident, politicians won’t make any distasteful comments against great leaders who have won many hearts.
