The world may be celebrating February 14 as Valentine’s Day. But the same day is not happy as it is for others in India. For the past few years, we have been celebrating February 14 as black day to remember our valorous heroes who were martyred in a suicide bomber attack.
The tense region of Jammu and Kashmir saw a sudden attack by the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed based out in Pakistan. Making the convoy of Central Reserve Police Force a target a suicide bomber approached the vehicle with a car with explosives and blasted himself.
On the 14th of February in 2019, the attack happened and around 40 CRPF personnel lost their lives in this. The Indian government said that the suicide bomber was identified as Adil Ahmad Dar who is a local person. The Ministry of External Affairs breathed fire on Pakistan for this. After the attack, Jaish-e-Mohammad took responsibility for the attack.
The situation at the border became tense with the attack. The security forces were deployed at the border areas as a safety measure to see that no tense situation happens.
India did not sit silent after the Pulwama attack. To teach Pakistan a strong reason, Indian Air Force jets attacked Balakot. The JeM camps were destroyed and various aircraft were used for this. After many decades Indian aircraft went past the Line of Control to finish the counterattack.
In the attack, Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan’s aircraft crashed in Pakistan and he was taken into custody. A Pakistan Minister said that they were under big pressure to release Abhinandan or else they will have to face another attack from India.
In many instances, India exposed Pakistan to the Pulwama attack and blamed the neighboring nation for the intense attacks. India also increased taxes on Pakistan goods here by around 200 percent. This made Pakistan come forward to hold talks with India to bring the situation under control.
On the sad occasion, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi recalled the sacrifices of our heroes and said that their courage is the motivation behind the force to build a strong India.
