A couple of months ago, Dil Raju officially announced RC15 which would mark the coming together of Ram Charan and Shankar. This development all but confirmed that Shankar‘s Indian 2 is shelved.
However, Lyca productions, who are bankrolling Indian 2 seem to have other ideas. They have filed a case against Shankar for moving on to another project without completing Indian 2.
Lyca productions filed a case in Madras High Court, saying Shankar is not honouring their agreement to complete Indian 2, starring Kamal Hassan, Kajal, and Siddharth in important roles.
The noted production house mentioned that they had already spent a total of Rs 180 crores on the project and they are ready to spend another Rs 50 crores in order to match Shankar’s initial proposition of completing the project with Rs 230 crores budget. It is said that Lyca had also paid Shankar Rs 14 crores remuneration to complete the project.
The high court ordered Shankar to respond immediately and he is expected to do so very soon.
