Indian Embassy in Kuwait Warns Against Fake e-Visa Websites

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait has issued a public advisory following a sharp rise in fraudulent websites impersonating the official Indian e-visa portal. The warning comes after multiple applicants reported being deceived into sharing payments and sensitive personal information through fake platforms, according to Kuwait’s Al Qabas Arabic daily.

Embassy officials revealed that several unauthorised third-party operators are creating look-alike websites to mislead travellers. Some of the fraudulent sites identified include indianimmigration.org, idiasevisa.org, evisaentry.com, india-immi.org, ivisa.com, and india-evisa.it.com.

The Embassy reiterated that there is only one authorised website for Indian e-visa applications:
www.indianvisaonline.gov.in

Travellers have been strongly advised to avoid all other portals. The mission cautioned that using unverified websites may result in financial fraud, data theft, or other security risks.

In its advisory, the Embassy urged all applicants to verify the authenticity of any visa-related website or service before submitting documents or making payments. Officials emphasised that “vigilance is essential,” and encouraged applicants to rely exclusively on the government website for all e-visa processes.
