India’s growth in digital space is exponential. Thanks to the ‘Make In India’ initiative, several interesting projects were happening in the nation. The dependency of India on foreign nations regarding military equipment will be drastically reduced in the next decade.
Another key thing to be taken into consideration is the privacy. Terrorists were using the public data on the social media to plan the attacks apart from attracting the people to join their forces.
Considering all this into consideration, India is said to be moving towards starting its own social media which might replace Watsapp, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Tech Mahindra CTO Amit Dubey, who is also the National Security Expert hinted on active discussions with Ministry of India regarding social media and data privacy. As India has good set of IT giants, it won’t be tough to make the best social media platform. If it happens, it will be great step!
