In what can be called as an absolute tragedy, the 32-year old Ilayaraja Arunachalam – an Infosys employee in Chennai- was reportedly found dead, nakedly, in the office dormitory around 10:45 PM on Tuesday night.
According to police, Arunachalam’s dead body was mysteriously found lying on the dormitory bed with two blankets covering him. The Chengalpattu police, who received the news from Infosys campus, sent the body for post-mortem and they are yet to identify whether it’s a murder or suicide or a natural death. However, the policemen did not find any suicide note from the deceased person.
Arunachalam. the native of Tindivanam in Vilupuram, did not return to home on Monday and his mobile phone was switched off, according to the complaint filed by his wife on Tuesday morning. The concerned police officer said, ‘we are further investigating into his death and a clarity can only be expected after the post mortem is done.’
Similar incidents have rocked the leading Tech giant (Infosys) over last few months and company is taking all measures to regulate such incidents within the campus. Early this year in Infosys-Pune, a 25-year old Engineer was killed by a security guard while she was working in campus, over the weekend. In June 2016, a female employee of Infosys-Chennai was hacked to death by Ram Kumar, while she was waiting for a train to reach her office in Mahindra City.
