Maruthi is being forced to break a sweat in order to finalize his next project. He was in talks with the likes of Ram, Ravi Teja, and Gopichand, but none of them have given their nod to his story yet.
Firstly, Maruthi approached Ram with a family entertainer subject but the latter rejected it, saying he is not intending to play soft-natured roles at this point in his career.
Maruthi then knocked on Ravi Teja’s door with the same story and even received a positive response from the senior hero. However, things fell apart quickly as Ravi Teja quoted Rs 13 crores as his remuneration and Geetha Arts, who were supposed to bankroll the project were not ready to offer him such a huge paycheck.
Soon after, Maruthi took the story to Gopichand and he was not entirely happy with it. The macho hero suggested a few changes to the script and asked Maruthi to infuse more action-oriented sequences into the plot. This is not in the best interests of Maruthi and things are back to square one.
Ram, Ravi Teja, and Gopichand have pushed Maruthi into a dilemma now and it would be interesting to see how he responds to it. The proven director is apparently in search of another suitable hero for his story now. He certainly wouldn’t have expected hardships to finalize his next project especially after scoring a big hit with his previous film Prathi Roju Pandage.
