Robin Sharma has been brought in to be the political advisor for the Telugu Desam Party. He was previously a member of Prashanth Kishore’s team, the person who was instrumental in making Jagan win the 2019 general elections.
Robin Shamra is said to be the reason for Chandrababu’s comments on Christianity when he spoke about the Ramatheertham incident. However, his speech caused a lot of damage, more than the intended positive effect.
Many christians have now distanced themselves from the TDP, and are choosing to stay away from the party. The intended effect was to ignite pro-Hindu feelings in Hindus. but the speech has had a very adverse effect against Christians belonging to the TDP.
Chandrababu is said to have realised that a pro-Hindu speech might benefit the BJP, but not the TDP,
As a result, Chandrababu is said to be re-evaluating the prospect of letting Robin Sharma continue as the Political Advisor or not. Robin Shamra’s advice has indeed done more damage to Chandrababu and TDP, than good!
