It is known that the ongoing season of the Indian Premiere League has been suspended with immediate effect in the view of Covid outbreak. BCCI has assured safe and secure passage of all the participants and related works have commenced already.
As per reports, Dhoni is emphasising on the safe return of foreign players now. Dhoni is arranging for the return of foreign players on priority basis and then the domestic players. The senior cricketer has stated he would be the last person to leave the CSK camp.
Incidentally, Mumbai Indians franchise, backed by the mighty Mukesh Ambani are taking a big step forward. They have arranged special charter flights for each of their foreign players. They are also offering to help other franchises in safely transporting their respective foreign players.
Mumbai Indians have set a new precedent in these tough and challenging times. Same is the case with Dhoni as well.
BCCI will be taking a decision on the possible resumption of the tournament only after favourable conditions emerge here in India.
