In an interview to a national media outlet, YSR Congress President Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy hinted at “forgiving” Congress and said that he has no grievances or vengeance against anybody. This is the first time that Jagan has hinted at a likely patch-up as “Congress has promised Special Status to Andhra Pradesh” in its manifesto.
When asked if he will think about the idea of holding talks with the Congress (either with Rahul or Priyanka), he said “I have no vengeance against anybody. I believe in god and I strongly believe that vengeance is not mine but for god to decide. I have forgiven them in my heart. My state is my priority and special status is my priority.”
Jagan has repeatedly reiterated that he is keeping his options open for a post-poll scenario and that he will ally with anyone who promises Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. Interestingly, this interview has revealed that YSRCP could explore a possible patch-up with the Congress if the party comes to power in the state and the Congress wins enough seats to form a government. Whatever the situation, Jagan is making the right moves!
