Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had lined up a couple of activities for October. With a set of programmes on hand, the chief minister is set to keep the administration busy all through the month.
The chief minister would inaugurate his prestigious Village Secretariats near Kakinada in East Godavari district on October 2.
The chief minister would also launch the financial assistance to self-auto and taxi drivers. The government would pay Rs 10,000 to each of these drivers directly to their bank accounts on October 4.
The government would launch the three-year long eye screening and operations programme for the people on October 10. This would first have the initial tests conducted for the school children, followed by general public by the end of October.
The district Collectors and the officials of the AP Transport Department were asked to identify the beneficiaries, who have applied online. The verification of the applications and selection to be completed before the scheme is launched.
The selection of beneficiaries for YSR Rythu Bharosa to help the farmers for the rabi crop. While payment to the beneficiaries is scheduled for January 2020, the chief minister had asked the officials to complete the identification and selection of beneficiaries by the end of October.
Notwithstanding the criticism from the opposition and a section of media, the chief minister is making his moves fast, converting his promises into reality.
The way he presented himself at the distribution of appointment letters to some of the new employees of the village secretariats, the other day in Vijayawada, showed how confident he is despite the opposition criticism.
