Hyderabad: Almost all the newspapers in the Telugu States have increased their prices except for Sakshi.YS Jagan has reportedly told the management of Sakshi not to increase the cost until the election is over.
Also, Sakshi is distributing free copies in large numbers in rural and semi-urban areas which have limited accessibility.While this will eat into the profit margins of the publication, the dissemination of information will yield rich electoral dividends to the YSRCP.
As for Andhra Jyothi, Naidu allegedly gave Radhakrishna around Rs 150 crore after winning the election in 2014 and print was immediately changed to ‘colour’.The chubby journalist can expect another windfall if TDP wins again in 2019.
