‘Is it justifiable to split the state without taking up any assembly resolution? What kind of democracy we are living in? From tomorrow morning (Saturday), I’m starting a fast-unto-death here in front of my party office itself’, confirms YS Jagan, YSR Congress party president and Kadapa MP.
‘For the sake of votes and seats Congress party is splitting this state and those who have to respond against this are sitting calm’, he added.
There are rumours since other day that Jagan is actually thinking to sit for hunger strike, but his announcement came as a big support to Seemandhra agitators who are protesting from last 60 plus days, and who have intensified their protests from today.
‘It took sixty years to develop this city, but how could Andhra built a new capital equal to it in 10 years, and how Group of Ministers will solve issues in six weeks?’ he asked. Jagan stressed that there is a scientific procedure for bifurcating a state and Congress followed nothing of them in the case of Andhra Pradesh. ‘There should be a resolution to split the state, and people of all regions should agree with it. How can you ditch the feelings of Andhra and Rayalaseema region?’, Jagan asked.
The Kadapa MP requested top leaders from all parties to join his hunger strike, along with their party flags. ‘I request TDP, BJP and YSR-C to take part in my hunger strike along with their party flags itself. This is the time we have to stand united and think beyond politics’, Jagan stressed.
