Andhra Pradesh had lost a young and dynamic leader in the form of Mekapati Gautahm Reddy who held the crucial portfolios. Creating a video, he had breathed his last and the efforts made by his family to save him went in vain. He had a good image in the political spectrum.
To remember the beloved leader, a condolence meeting was held by his family at Kanuparthipadu on Monday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had attended the meeting and remembered Mekapati Gautham Reddy, with whom he had a good rapport on the occasion.
CM Jagan became emotional while addressing the gathering. Walking down memory lane and recalling the association he had with Mekapati Gautham Reddy, Jagan said that Gautham stood in great support for him. Shedding light on the work done by Gautham Reddy, Jagan stressed that he held multiple portfolios.
Talking about the decisions taken by the government to honor Gautham Reddy, Jagan said that the Sangan barrage work would be finished soon and it would be named after the deceased former Minister.
The Chief Minister added that it was the dream of Mekapati to develop the region and for that the ongoing Veligonda Project work will be finished at a rapid pace. The college of the Mekapati family would be made into a University, he added.
