Jagan Wants AP Back On Tracks Quickly

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have decided to bring the entire state back on tracks as quickly as possible, despite the increasing number of Corona virus cases in the state.

Jagan clearly told the officials on Tuesday that there is every need for the State’s economy to open up during lockdown 4.0 and activate every sector that has gone into dormant state in the last 55 days to prevent spread of Covid-19.

He asked the collectors and SPs to bring the state’s economy back on the rails right from small shops, public transport and other facilities and the same time creating an awareness among the people on the precautions to be taken, like maintaining physical distance and wearing the mask.

Except shopping malls, theatres and religious activities, all other activities will have to be started by the collectors by taking all precautionary measures.

As part of restoration of normalcy, Jagan announced a calendar of programmes in the coming months for revitalization and rejuvenation of the economy.

As per the calendar, half of the incentive arrears withheld by the previous government to the MSMEs of Rs 905 crore would be cleared by May 22 and the remaining cleared by June.

By May 26, all the archakas, pastors and imams would get a one-time help of Rs 5,000 each. Rythu Bharosa centres would be opened by May 30 to rejuvenate the farmers needs for which a JC has been appointed.

YSR Vahana Mitra incentive of Rs 10,000 each would be delivered to auto and cab drivers on June 4 and by June 10, barbers, washermen, tailors and petty shop owners would be given an incentive of Rs 10,000 each.

By June 17, weavers would be given incentives as part of YSR Chenetha Nestham. YSR Kapu Nestham would be implemented from June 24 to cover all the women in the age-group of 45-60.

The second instalment incentive of Rs 450 crore would be released to the MSMEs by June 29.

On July 1, 1060, new 104 and 108 ambulances would be launched. An amount of Rs 18,750 each would be given to all women belonging to BC, SC, ST and Minorities in the age group of 45-60 on August 12 as part of YSR Cheyuta.

YSR Asara would be launched on September 11 to clear the loans of women as promised during the elections and the second instalment of Rythu Bharosa amount would be cleared in October at the rate of Rs 4,000 per family to meet the rabi requirements.

And interest-free loan of Rs 10,000 each would be given to 10 lakh hawkers as part of Jagannanna Thodu programme in October and they would be given identity cards, the Chief Minister said.

Agrigold would get aid in November and in January, Amma Vodi programme would be implemented and the last instalment of Rythu Bharosa amount would be disbursed in the same month at the rate of Rs 2,000 each to farmers for getting the harvest back home by Sankranti.

The Chief Minister said that the calendar has been prepared till June next year and strictly implemented by the officials.
