Jagan@100: Will implement every promise

Euphoric over the completion of 100 days in office, YSR Congress president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said he would make all out efforts to translate all the promises made in the election manifesto into reality.

The chief minister on Friday launched a slew of welfare measures including distribution of quality rice, inauguration of 200-bedded hospital-cum-research centre for Nephrology besides announcing the calendar for implementation of various other public benefit programmes etc.

Jagan said he would treat the manifesto as a sacred book and would fulfill every promise that was included in it and many of them are taking shape.

“Within 100 days of coming the power, the State has brought in sweeping changes in administration by decentralizing administration through Village Secretariats and providing 4 lakh jobs with Village Volunteers, who deliver government schemes to the doorstep, getting a lion’s share,” he said.

Earlier, the Chief Minister had inaugurated a 200-bedded hospital and Research Centre for Nephrology and has given a pension of Rs 10,000 each to patients suffering from stage five- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).

The Chief Minister had also announced Rs 5,000 pension to stage three patients.

This was the election promise made for the Uddanam kidney patients during the 3,648 km padayatra who said that people were dying as there was no facility or resource for dialysis and the government of that day has been neglecting them.
