Jagan’s Resignation Drama!

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has been making claims that his party MPs would resign for the Special Category Status to AP, has reiterated that his party MPs would resign on April 6th if AP is not accorded the SGS by April 5th. This is too late as the Center had long back stated that the Special Category Status is a “closed issue”. So, resignation ‘drama’ of YSRCP MPs won’t really withstand or won’t have any major impact in Delhi.

This apart, even, technically, the resignations would take at least another two months for the acceptance procedure to complete if MPs resign on April 6. Since already both the President and Prime Minister too opined for the simultaneous elections for Lok Sabha, Assembly and reports have it that the Centre is pushing for early polls (aiming for Nov 2018), hardly there will be five to six months time which wouldn’t be sufficient for by-election.

Whereas Jagan and YSRCP could boast of the Resignation Drama and garner votes in the next general elections and thus want to team up with Narendra Modi-led BJP before or after polls. At a time AP is really going through difficult phase, instead of fighting for actual results to people, Jagan continues to do ‘politics’ for meagre votes.

Meanwhile, TDP has already mounted pressure on BJP to announce the funds for the successor state. On the other hand, Pawan’s JFC is busy finding facts to trouble the Centre and get the ball rolling.
