Is former Jammalamadugu MLA and senior leader P Ramasubba Reddy looking to rejoin the TDP? Sources say yes. Ramasubba Reddy feels stifled and insulted in the TDP and despite assurances from YS Jagan, the local leaders are belittling him. There is a growing feeling among Ramasubba Reddy and his followers that they have made a mistake by joining the YSRCP.
For instance, during the recent inauguration of the new market yard building in Jammalamadugu and during the bhumi puja for a hospital, the sitting MLA and his supporter have ignored him. Local MLA Dr Sudheer Reddy is unrelenting when it comes to attacking Ramasubba reddy. Senior YSRCP leaders tried to mediate between both Sudheer Reddy and Ramasubba Reddy. In fact, they confirmed that Sudheer Reddy would be the candidate in the next elections too. But at the same time, they asked Sudheer Reddy to show adequate respect to Ramasubba Reddy.
But Sudheer Reddy reportedly instructed all the government officials in his constituency not to accord any importance to Ramasubba Reddy. Protesting against this, Ramasubba Reddy skipped the recent meeting of party workers in Jammalamadugu, which was attended by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. This has given rise to rumours that Ramasubba Reddy might resign from the party.
Ramasubba Reddy is from a politically powerful community. His paternal uncle P Siva Reddy was a three-time MLA. After his brutal murder, Ramasubba Reddy joined politics and wn s an MLA in 1994 and 1998. He was a minister tool. He is now all set to join the TDP. He feels that the TDP does not have a leader and that he can fill the gap. So, Reddy is all set to leave the YSRCP anytime soon.
