Man of Masses Jr. NTR’s upcoming action spectacle with director Prashanth Neel is fast shaping up to be one of the most eagerly awaited pan-Indian films in production. Shooting began earlier this summer, with high-octane schedules in Karnataka and Hyderabad. The buzz intensified recently when Prashanth Neel was spotted celebrating RCB’s IPL win at Ramoji Film City — a strong hint that the film is actively being shot there.

While the production team has kept details under wraps, especially about the female lead, sources have now confirmed that rising Kannada star Rukmini Vasanth is playing the leading lady. Best known for her emotionally stirring performance in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Rukmini shot to pan-South fame and has since become one of the most sought-after young actresses.

Although the makers haven’t issued an official statement, Rukmini’s latest Instagram post has sent fans into a frenzy. Dressed in a white tiger-print shirt and posing from inside a vanity van, she captioned the post: “Tiger Tiger burning bright…” — a line widely interpreted as a nod to Jr. NTR, famously known as the ‘Tiger’ of Telugu cinema. Fans and industry insiders are speculating that the picture was taken right on the sets of the NTR–Neel project.

Insiders reveal that Rukmini has indeed signed on for the film and has been advised to avoid taking up any other projects — particularly smaller-budget ones — until this film is completed. Despite receiving numerous offers from across South Indian industries, she is said to be honoring her commitment to this high-profile venture with full dedication.

Interestingly, the team had originally planned to unveil a glimpse or teaser on NTR’s birthday, but the plan was reportedly shelved to prevent a clash with the WAR 2 teaser launch.

Tentatively titled Dragon, the film is being mounted on a massive scale by Mythri Movie Makers and is touted to be the most expensive project for both Jr. NTR and Prashanth Neel. With music composed by Neel’s frequent collaborator Ravi Basrur, and an action-heavy narrative in the works, the film is poised to be a cinematic spectacle. As fans await official updates, Rukmini’s tiger-print teaser has only amplified the intrigue surrounding this mega venture.
