The Delimitation Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting convened in Chennai under the leadership of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin witnessed the participation of several prominent political leaders, including Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, and other key representatives.
Amid this, certain unverified reports surfaced, suggesting that JanaSena Party (JSP) had sent a delegation to the meeting. However, JanaSena promptly refuted these claims through an official statement, clarifying that the party did not take part in the deliberations.
The official communication from JanaSena confirmed that while the party did receive an invitation from DMK representatives to attend the JAC meeting, it was respectfully declined due to political differences and varying affiliations. The statement reiterated that JSP and DMK belong to distinct political alliances, making any participation in the meeting untenable.
“JanaSena and DMK have differing political perspectives and are aligned with separate political alliances. Hence, it is not credible for JSP to take part in the JAC meeting. The rumors suggesting that our party sent a delegation are completely baseless,” the official statement emphasized.
This clarification aligns with the broader political landscape, as JanaSena is an integral part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), while DMK organized the JAC meeting with parties predominantly affiliated with the INDIA bloc. Given these political dynamics, JanaSena’s participation in the meeting was never a plausible scenario.
The fact that DMK extended an invitation to JanaSena in the first place has raised eyebrows, considering the clear ideological and alliance differences. Nonetheless, the party’s swift response has put an end to any speculation regarding its stance on the meeting.
JanaSena remains committed to its political agenda within the NDA framework and continues to focus on its strategic priorities in alignment with its coalition partners.
