On the surface, Janhvi Kapoor’s Bollywood career seems to be in full swing. Over the past few weeks, she has had two Hindi releases — Param Sundari and Homebound — and she is now promoting her third Hindi outing of 2025, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, set to hit theatres on October 2.
Despite the busy schedule of back-to-back releases and promotional tours, Janhvi has yet to deliver a major blockbuster in Hindi cinema.
In contrast, her maiden Telugu film Devara, though featuring her in a limited role, became the first true blockbuster of her career. She then signed Peddi opposite Ram Charan, a highly anticipated project expected to become a pan-India hit.
Adding to her Telugu film portfolio, Janhvi has also secured one of the female lead roles in Allu Arjun and Atlee’s big-ticket project AA22xA6, which is being planned as a global release and is expected to be a milestone in her career.
Clearly, while her Bollywood ventures continue to keep her in the spotlight, it is Telugu cinema that is giving Janhvi Kapoor her strongest platform and biggest breakthroughs, helping her establish a pan-India presence.
