JC Divakar Reddy, once a prominent and influential figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, is affectionately called “JC Thatha” by TDP supporters. Known for his candid and sometimes quirky interviews, Reddy occasionally shares his views on politics despite stepping back due to age.
In a recent interview, the seasoned politician made an intriguing prediction about the future of Andhra Pradesh’s leadership. Reddy suggested that Chandrababu Naidu might not complete a full term as Chief Minister. “This is not due to external pressure, but rather, Chandrababu himself will step down and shift his focus to national politics, where he has the expertise and credibility,” he explained.
The interviewer, curious about who could succeed Naidu, was told by Reddy that it was only natural for Nara Lokesh, Chandrababu’s son, to take over. “Once Babu transitions to national politics, Lokesh will take the reins of Andhra Pradesh. This could happen before the next election,” he added.
When asked about the potential role of Pawan Kalyan in this scenario, Divakar Reddy humbly stated that he didn’t know enough about Pawan’s political stance to comment.
With nearly five decades of experience, Divakar Reddy’s projections carry weight in political circles. While his forecasts may seem bold today, only time will tell whether they become a reality in the coming years.
