The debate around nepotism in the Indian film industry has been ongoing for quite some time, and recently, Manchu Vishnu shared his perspective on the topic. During a conversation with a national media outlet, Vishnu acknowledged that nepotism undeniably exists in the industry, but he also emphasized an interesting viewpoint regarding its impact.

He explained, “Nepotism is undeniably a part of the industry, but it can only get an actor their first project. It’s not a guarantee for long-term success. For instance, I got my first film offer because my father was a legendary actor and producer. However, after that initial opportunity, the audience only supported me based on my talent.” Vishnu pointed out that while nepotism may open the door for a debut film, it’s ultimately an actor’s talent that determines their success and sustains their career in the long run.

Vishnu firmly believes that nepotism can only help with the first project, and everything after that is determined by the actor’s ability to deliver and gain recognition from the audience. He also took the opportunity to talk about his upcoming project, Kannappa, set to release on April 25. He mentioned that Kannappa is the most expensive film in his career so far and he is deeply invested in its success.
