In an embarrassment to TDP, JC Prabhakar Reddy’s son-in-law and TDP MLC from Andhra Pradesh G Deepak Reddy was arrested by the CCS police, Hyderabad on Tuesday. Deepak was arrested on the charges of involving in land grabbing. According to several media reports, Deepak Reddy is accused in six land grabbing cases. He reportedly hatched a plan to grab land in Banjara Hills allegedly with the help of advocate Sailendra Saxena. Cops, who have been waiting for the right opportunity, arrested Deepak Reddy after his anticipatory bail got ended.
Going into reports, Deepak was trying to grab a prime land in Banjara Hills which is estimated at 165 Crore. Cases have been filed on Deepak in February. However, Deepak had got an anticipatory bail to avoid arrest. But police have smartly made a plan and arrested Deepak as soon as his anticipatory bail got expired.
Even Sailendra was arrested by police as his bail petition was rejected. Police claim that they have proper “evidences” and may produce both in front of Special Judge later tonight. This is now expected to trigger political turmoil in AP. TDP is now in trouble as its lawmaker was facing serious charges of land grabbing. More details are yet to be known.The CCS police said to have given prior information to AP Legislative Council chairman about the arrest of its member G Deepak Reddy.
