Reliance Jio has introduced its latest range of JioBharat Phones at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, focusing on safety, accessibility, and digital empowerment. Aimed at children, women, and the elderly, these new “Safety-First” handsets are designed with built-in features that prioritize security, connectivity, and ease of use.
The JioBharat phones start at ₹799 and are available across Jio Stores, JioMart, Amazon, Swiggy Instamart, and other retail outlets. Key features include location tracking, usage management, and an impressive seven-day battery backup, ensuring both safety and convenience for families.
One of the standout features, the Usage Manager, allows guardians to control who can call or message their dependents, effectively blocking unknown contacts. The location-sharing feature lets users share their real-time position with trusted contacts, while caretakers can also monitor basic health data remotely.
Jio emphasized that these handsets are especially valuable for children and senior citizens, helping them stay connected without the risks of social media distractions or unwanted calls.
Alongside the phone launch, Jio also unveiled Jio AI Classroom, a free foundational course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) developed in collaboration with Jio Institute. Accessible via JioPC on PCs, laptops, and smart TVs, the course aims to democratize AI education for students across India.
The four-week program covers topics such as AI fundamentals, prompt engineering, and creative applications of AI, including video lectures, interactive assignments, and a capstone project powered by AI tools. Participants using JioPC will receive additional benefits like advanced AI tool access and a certificate from Jio Institute, while others will earn a digital completion badge.
