Journalist Highlights Difficulties of Indian students in Ukraine!

Popular Journalist Paul Oommen, who had earlier worked with Times Now and Mirror Now and currently working with the News Minute gave an insight into the life the Indian students are facing in war-hit Ukraine. He said that the students are trying hard to contact the Ministry of External Affairs.

In a Twitter thread, the Journalist had shed light on the issues and struggles that are being faced by the students. He said that the students had spent time in a bunker to be safe and they feel exhausted and they could not breathe in the bunkers.

According to the Journalist, more than 600 students from India are placed inside a bunker and they have no food to have and it’s been over one day since the students had food.

The reason behind the students opting to stay inside the bunker is the problematic situation in the nation and especially at the border. As the situation is concerning, the students had to stay inside the bunker.

“Just spoke to a student from Bogomolets National Medical University in #Kyiv, #Ukraine. He says 600+ Indian students presently inside bunker. Until yday shelling was only in the early hours of morning. Since yesterday, continuous shelling happening,” the Journalist said in his tweet.

“They say it is suffocating inside the bunker and many falling sick and experiencing breathing difficulties due to the dust and lack of ventilation. They say it is impossible and unsafe to travel to borders in the present condition. For now, they have food for one more day,” the Journalist added.
