Stepping away from his earlier larger-than-life roles, Jr NTR is set to surprise audiences with a layered and intense character in the upcoming spy thriller War 2. Renowned celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, who curated the actor’s look for the film, revealed that her main focus was to ground Jr NTR’s persona and align it with the gritty tone of the genre.
The challenge, she admits, was to preserve Jr NTR’s signature machismo and screen presence while ensuring his look felt authentic and rooted in realism. “There’s a raw power in his presence—as if a human machine is moving with a clear mission,” Anaita remarked.
In War 2, Jr NTR plays the antagonist opposite Hrithik Roshan’s RAW agent character. To visually differentiate the two, the stylist designed a wardrobe that reflected NTR’s no-nonsense attitude—favoring earthy tones like black and brown, with sharp, fuss-free silhouettes. His appearance conveys a man of precision, purpose, and power.
Though the teaser released last month generated buzz for its high-octane action and dramatic sequences, some fans were left wanting more from Jr NTR’s brief glimpse. However, excitement around War 2 remains sky-high, especially given its pan-India appeal.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, War 2 also stars Kiara Advani. The screenplay is penned by Shridhar Raghavan, and the music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release on August 14.
