Jumping Japangs: TDP Lovers vs YSRCP Haters

It’s a season of jumping political parties. Leaders cutting across parties are switching their loyalties. While the situation is a bit better in AP, it got worsened in Telangana. If we closely look at it both TDP and YSR Congress are going through the same phase. YCP is facing the situation in AP, TDP is having tough time in controlling defections in Telangana. several leaders, including senior-most leaders and founding members of party, have ditched YS Jagan’s YSR Congress in AP. And even in TDP, senior-most leaders in Telangana have joined TRS.

Even in this similarity between TDP and YSRCP, there’s one major difference. Most of the leaders who have quit YSRCP all are criticizing Jagan tooth and nail. In fact, many went onto call Jagan as ‘Dictator’ and sledged him for his attitude.

It can also be noted that leaders like Talasani expressed that he’s taking decision against his heart. Even Talasani’s mother openly stated that Chandrababu is like his elder son and his son Talasani quitting TDP is more or less emotional feeling for her. Errabelli Dayakar too spoke in the same language. After serving 35 years for party, he said he quit party with sadness. He openly admitted that he’s quitting TDP as it has no ‘future’ in Telangana but expressed his respect for Naidu. Nonetheless TRS founder KCR had his roots in TDP and he was former TDP MLA.

Whereas leaders of YSR Congress are hitting hard at YS Jagan while leaving party. Political pundits say that this is the startling difference between Jagan and Naidu. Well, Naidu has a reason to cheer even in the time of defections as all his party men are showing respect towards him.
