The much-awaited upcoming Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu which are slated to commence in 2021 are going to be special for many reasons. The two biggest film stars contesting the elections is one of the main reasons.
Actor-turned-politician and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan is a step ahead compared to Rajinikanth. Kamal started his party in 2018 and contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. However, he failed to create an impact in the elections.
He took the upcoming elections prestigious and started a political campaign for the upcoming elections. Kamal Haasan started a four-day-long campaign on Sunday for the polls.
Addressing a public rally during the campaign, Kamal Haasan said he will contest the upcoming 2021 Assembly elections and the constituency he will contest from will be announced soon.
He faced an interesting question of having an alliance with his contemporary Rajinikanth who will soon launch his political party.
Without taking names, Kamal Haasan said “Alliances will break up and alliances will come together”.
Political experts cited that, Kamal Haasan indirectly hinted at a possible alliance with Rajinikanth for the Assembly elections.
