Bollywood actor-politician Kangana Ranaut is reuniting with R. Madhavan after nearly a decade for their upcoming film titled “Circle.” The duo last shared screen space in the 2016 blockbuster Tanu Weds Manu Returns. This time, they come together for an intense psychological thriller directed by AL Vijay and produced by Trident Arts. The film is slated for a Dussehra 2025 release.
A source close to the production shared that “Circle” recently completed its shooting in Hyderabad, wrapping up with a vibrant club song filmed at Club Illusion in Jubilee Hills. The shoot concluded with a wrap-up party, marking the end of a production journey that spanned almost a year. The film has been made as a pan-Indian project, simultaneously shot in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, with plans to dub in Malayalam.
Offering insights into the plot, the source teased,
“Circle is an extraordinary psychological thriller, unlike anything audiences have seen before. The core twist lies in the fact that the doctor and the patient are the same person. The mystery around this identity will unfold only when the film releases.”
Producer-Distributor Ravindran of Trident Arts confirmed these developments, stating,
“Yes, we’ve wrapped the final schedule with a dance number featuring Avantika Mishra, who plays a pivotal role alongside Madhavan. The shoot covered diverse locations including Ooty, Chennai, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.”
Ravindran also praised Kangana’s work ethic, saying,
“Kangana is now one of the most admired actors in the South. She is incredibly professional and a complete workaholic. Every shot with her is a testament to her dedication and desire to excel in her craft.”
On a concluding note, he confirmed,
“Yes, the title of the Kangana-Madhavan film is ‘Circle’, and your publication is the first to officially report this. The film is set for an October 2025 Dussehra release, and we’re excited to unveil it to audiences. We also have another film, ‘Heartin,’ lined up for an August 2025 release.”
