Kantara Chapter 1, the highly anticipated prequel to the 2022 blockbuster Kantara, is slated for release on October 2, coinciding with Dusshera. Directed by Rishab Shetty, the film is a mythological action drama that has already begun generating excitement nationwide through its promotions.
A pre-release event was recently held in Hyderabad, graced by Jr NTR as the chief guest, alongside Rishab Shetty, heroine Rukmini Vasanth, and the film’s crew. Mythri Movie Makers will handle the film’s release in the Nizam region.
During the event, Mythri Ravi Shankar praised Rukmini Vasanth, noting her role as the heroine in the upcoming NTR-Prashanth Neel film (tentatively titled Dragon) and commending her ability to match NTR’s acting prowess. He also confirmed that the next schedule for NTR and Prashanth Neel’s film will commence next month, promising an exceptional release that will surpass audience expectations.
Ravi Shankar highlighted the strong bond between NTR and Rishab Shetty, describing them as brothers, and emphasized that fans will witness a unique performance from Rishab in Kantara Chapter 1.
The prequel stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah, with music composed by B Ajaneesh Loknath and production by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films.
