Having been at the top of the comedy game for years, Kapil initially became a household name through his TV shows. Now, his show, The Great Indian Kapil Show, streams exclusively on Netflix and continues to draw huge audiences.
Since its first season last year, the show has been incredibly successful. Normally, comedy shows on OTT take a year between seasons. However, because of the overwhelming response, Kapil and his team have already completed two seasons and wrapped up the third one as well, which is all set for release. That’s a total of ₹130 crores for two seasons alone.
And now, for the third season — which also consists of 13 episodes — Kapil is set to take home another ₹65 crores. This means that in just one year, across three successful seasons, Kapil Sharma will have earned close to ₹200 crores. While many top film actors demand ₹100 crore and spend years working on a project, Kapil has managed to earn almost double that amount simply by making people laugh — all in the span of a year.
